Customer demands N111million damages from Nigerian breweries


An Abuja court has ordered Nigerian breweries Plc.to, within 30 days, appear before it Mr.Chinenye Onwuachu, sought an order of the court to declare that Nigerian breweries Plc. was negligent in the production of 2 bottles of contaminated Heineken beer.

Onwuachu said that he was on June 12 rushed to the Maitama District hospital n Abuja, after drinking the said Heineken beer, which contained some inedible and unwholesome brown particles.

Laboratory test diagnosed that he suffered from malfunctioning of the Kidney and Gastroenteritis.He prayed the court to direct Nigerian breweries Plc. to tender a public apology in 3 national dailies.


Also to pay N10m as exemplary damage for the negligence occasioned in the production of the beer, N100m as general damages for the pain, shock and psychological trauma he suffered and N1m as cost of litigation .
